DRESS CODE

We’ve recently updated our dress code and the ordering process.  Previously, all dancers were measured on the first day of class and given a pre-selected dress code item for the year.  However, this year we’re excited to introduce a catalog of options for your dancer to choose from!  Our goal is to provide each dancer with the opportunity to choose something they love and feel confident wearing.

Below, you will find a three-page catalog featuring a range of options including leotards, skirts, shorts, dance dresses and more, available in various sizes and colors.  Each dancer will receive a $25 credit that can be used towards any item in our dress code catalog.

Addition items can be ordered at the prices listed in the catalog.  Dancers must be measured in the studio before placing an order for their dress code items.  Dancers will be measured on their first day of class.  Please note that dance shoes and dress code items typically take 1-3 weeks to arrive after the order date.

For dancers enrolled in ballet, lyrical, pre-pointe, pointe, and the fall performance team (Nutcracker Session), the dress code is a base leotard, biketard, or dance dress, with the option of adding a dance skirt or athletic shorts, as well as mandatory tights and ballet shoes.

For dancers enrolled in acro the dress code is a base leotard or biketard, with the option of adding athletic shorts or leggings.  Acro shoes are available but not mandatory (most dancers prefer bare feet for acro), and any tights worn during acro class must be footless or convertible.

For dance cirque classes the dress code is a base leotard or biketard paired with leggings, and bare feet.  For their safety, it is important that dancers refrain from wearing tights, watches, or jewelry during any dance cirque class.

The dress code for all Happy Feet class is a one piece dance dress, paired with ballet shoes, with the option of wearing tights.

For all classes, hair must be styled neatly in a ponytail, bun, or braided.

Jeans, jean shorts, play clothes, dance costumes or school clothes are not suitable dance attire. Remember loose or dangling jewelry and costumes other than proper dance skirts are a safety hazard and distraction for dancers and are not allowed.

Help us keep the studio floors clean by not wearing dance shoes outside.
